Student Advisory Committee (SAC)

The START Gallery Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a student group that meets at the START Gallery once every two weeks throughout the semester to discuss ways to continue to carry out the mission of the gallery.

To be a part of the SAC you must be enrolled in undergraduate classes at Wake Forest University.

SAC members are involved in a variety of gallery activities. Some of these activities may include: planning receptions and events, interfacing between the gallery and WFU student body, implementing marketing and pr initiatives, and contributing to the START Gallery blog.

As a SAC member, you will have the opportunity to be engaged at START Gallery in a unique and practical way. You will have the chance to let your voice be heard and to play a role in effecting tangible change in gallery practices and programming. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn gallery management skills that, otherwise, would be difficult to acquire. If that is not enough, being a part of the SAC also looks great on a resumé!

To Become a SAC Member

You can either email us at and let us know that you would like to be involved, or just come to one of the meetings at any time throughout the semester. SAC meetings occur during the fall and spring semesters once every two weeks.
