Established in 1993, the John P. Anderson Collection of Student Art purchases student works as way to recognize the accomplishments of Studio Art majors and students achieving Honors in Studio Art at Wake Forest University. The collection consists of works purchased at the annual student exhibition at Charlotte and Phillip Hanes Gallery each spring. This year, there were fifteen works by fourteen different artists purchased for the collection. Works added to the collection in 2015 include drawings, linoleum prints, photographs, paintings, videos, and sculptures. The artists represented in this year’s show are Lindsay Ortyn (’15), Tracey Pu (’16), Hannah Witner (’18), Diane Eapen (’15), Meredith Cheatwood (’18), Pauline Arroyo (’16), Cami Burruss (’16), Margaret Seay (’15), Many Mathias (’15), Jon Rowe (’15), Kristiana Chan (’15), Rachel Roth (’15), Sean Wilkinson (’15), and Anonymous.
