New Works in the John P. Anderson Student Art Collection

AUGUST 23 – SEPTEMBER 25, 2021

Established in 1993, the John P. Anderson Student Art Collection purchases student works as way to recognize the accomplishments of Wake Forest’s student artists, including those who have achieved Honors in the Studio Art major. The collection consists of works purchased at the annual student exhibition at Charlotte and Philip Hanes Gallery each spring. Thirteen works by thirteen artists were accessioned into the collection in 2021. These works span diverse media, including colored pencil, ink, & charcoal drawings, sculpture, painting, linocut, and photography. Featured artists include: Rhythm Badal, Kaylah Bozkurtian, Lucy Chapman, Skye Chen, John Farrell, Suh Kamara, Iris Liu, Maggie Mann, Mikey Mattone, Christina Molkenthin, Riley Phillips, Quynh Vu, and SJ Willis.

Per the WFU guidelines, face coverings must be worn by all visitors to the stArt gallery while indoors, regardless of vaccination status– effective August 16, 2021.
