New Works in The John P. Anderson Student Art Collection (2026)

Established in 1993, the John P. Anderson Student Art Collection purchases student works as a way to recognize the accomplishments of Wake Forest’s student artists, including those who have achieved Honors in the Studio Art major. The collection consists of works purchased at the annual student exhibition at Charlotte and Philip Hanes Gallery each Spring and those bought from Studio Art honors students. Works by eleven artists were accessioned into the collection in 2025. These works span media including sculpture, photography, painting, printmaking, and digital collage.

The exhibition features the work of Mercer Fustes, Jane Hochman, Makenzie Lawson, Sarah Marks, Blair Newsome, Bennett Pascal, Laurel Pawlik, Julian Silverman, Annabeth Stancil, Hank Thompson, and Isabella Yochum.

New Works in the John P. Anderson Student Art Collection will be on view in the stArt Gallery in Reynolda Village from September 1st through October 3rd. A reception will be held on September 1st from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
